SCO Media and Think Tanks Forum Gathers 250 Participants in Bishkek

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, is hosting the Forum of Media and Think Tanks from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, drawing around 250 delegates from 26 nations. The event aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among media and analytical institutions within the SCO framework.

Organized jointly by Kyrgyzstan's national news agency "Kab ar" and China's Xinhua News Agency, the forum marks a significant gathering in the Kyrgyz capital. It brings together leaders from major news agencies, media outlets, think tanks, and research institutions of SCO member states, observer states, and dialogue partners.

Kyrgyzstan's delegation includes Dairbek Orunbekov, head of the Information Policy Service of the Presidential Administration, and Mederbek Shermetaliev, director of "Kab ar," alongside other domestic media and expert representatives.

The central theme of the forum is "SCO in a New Era: From Mutual Understanding to Practical Cooperation." Participants are engaged in discussions covering the development of international information cooperation, the digital transformation of the media landscape, humanitarian collaboration, and contemporary challenges facing the global information space.
