Senator mourns Kaduna attack victims, demands justice

Senator Sunday Katung has condemned a deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kaduna State, describing the killings of innocent residents as a tragic indicator of the escalating insecurity plaguing vulnerable communities.

I received with profound grief and deep concern the distressing news of the attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area, which tragically claimed the lives of innocent citizens and left several others injured.

Representing the Kaduna South Senatorial District, Katung expressed deep sorrow over the incident, which claimed several lives and left others injured. He extended his condolences to the bereaved families, stating that the entire district shares in their pain. "No family should have to endure the loss of loved ones through violent attacks," he said.

The senator emphasized that the attack serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need to bolster security, ensuring residents can live, farm, and work without fear. He called on security agencies to intensify their efforts to identify, apprehend, and prosecute the perpetrators, asserting that the people of Naridon and other at-risk communities deserve more than mere sympathy.
