Serbia Adopts Trade Laws Enhancing Consumer Rights, Banning E-Cigarette Sales to Minors

The Serbian Parliament has taken a significant step towards modernizing its regulatory framework by adopting a comprehensive set of trade laws. This legislative package, which includes the Law on Consumer Protection, aims to bolster the rights of consumers and ensure a more transparent marketplace. A central element of these new regulations is the mandate for traders to update prices in real-time, ensuring that consumers are accurately informed about the current costs of goods, both in physical stores and online. This move is particularly relevant in an era of dynamic pricing and online commerce, where clarity is paramount for consumer trust.

Furthermore, the legislation introduces crucial protections for young people by prohibiting the sale of electronic cigarettes, in addition to tobacco products, to minors.
