Serbian Party Claims Jackals Terrorize Belgrade Suburb, Demands Action

Wild animals are encroaching on a Belgrade suburb, according to the Serbian political party SRCE Palilula. The party claims jackals have settled in Krnjača, a neighborhood near Pančevački Put, and their howling prevents children from venturing outdoors.

"Just a few kilometers from Knez Mihailova, in the darkness and thickets where the authorities have buried us, wild animals rule today," the party stated. "We ask you, gentlemen from your armchairs, whose children are these? Must parents in Krnjača wait every night with dread, hoping their child will return home alive and unharmed?"

SRCE Palilula has called for municipal services and Veterina Beograd to immediately visit Krnjača. They also demand that the area along Pančevački Put be mowed, wild dumps be removed, and street lighting be repaired. "You push wild dumps under our windows, leave streets without a single light bulb, and now jackals are circling our homes," the statement reads. "For you, we only exist before elections when you need votes, but as soon as they pass, you abandon us to darkness and the wild. Are you waiting for a child to be harmed before you remember Krnjača exists? This is no longer politics, this is a fight for survival."
