Seven villagers feared killed in Benue community attack

The attackers came in large numbers, armed with firearms, and rode on motorcycles. It is alleged that they are camped at Shaor, one of the deserted villages identified in several intelligence reports as a base for marauders in Logo LGA.

While the state Police Command spokesperson, DSP Udeme Edet, stated that the report had not yet been officially received, the corroboration from the local government chairman, Clement Kav, and community members paints a grim picture. The ongoing cycle of violence, characterized by armed herders and bandits, demands immediate and sustained attention from both state and federal governments.
