Sheila Majid Conferred Datuk Seri Title

Datuk Sheila Majid, a celebrated figure in the Malaysian music industry for approximately four decades, has officially been bestowed with the title of Datuk Seri. The prestigious honor was conferred upon her after receiving the first-rank Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award from the Sultan of Pahang.

Her husband, musician Datuk Hashridz Murshim Hassim, also known as Acis, shared the joyous news on his Instagram account. He expressed profound gratitude and extended his highest congratulations to his wife, emphasizing that the award is a fitting recognition of her extensive contributions and sacrifices.

"This award is truly deserved for all the services, sacrifices, and contributions given to all of us," Acis stated. "Our family is immensely proud of this achievement and honor."

The couple, dressed in black and green, were photographed at Istana Abdul Aziz in Kuantan. They also captured memorable moments with the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah. Sheila Majid began her music career in 1982, releasing her first solo single, "Pengemis Muda."
