Siblings Lina Talžūnaitė and Andrius Talžūnas to play brother and sister in new TV series

Lithuanian television viewers will soon meet the Bukauskas family in the new LNK season's comedy series, "Ne visi namie" (Not All at Home). The show promises a humorous look at a family whose life under one roof becomes a significant challenge, especially with the arrival of a controlling and eccentric mother-in-law.

Adding a unique layer to the production, real-life siblings Lina Talžūnaitė and Andrius Talžūnas, both known social media personalities, will portray brother and sister roles on screen. This marks their debut in a television series, bringing their genuine family dynamic to their characters.

One of the most fun parts of this production was that the actors quickly became like a real family. During filming, they got so into their characters that the family connection carried over off-camera. A unique and somewhat chaotic bond formed on the set, which I think viewers will feel on screen.

The ensemble cast includes established actors Vitalija Mockevičiūtė as the domineering mother-in-law, Gintarė Latvėnaitė as her daughter and the family's mother, and Nerijus Gadliauskas as the father and son-in-law. The series will explore the interactions between three generations, each with their own ideas about family life, leading to conflicts between the mother-in-law and son-in-law, mother-daughter relationships, and the independent plans of the children.

Producer Andrius Urbanavičius noted that the actors quickly formed a close-knit, "chaotic" family bond on set, which he believes will translate to the screen. Lina Talžūnaitė shared her initial nervousness about acting but quickly adapted to the professional environment. The series aims to capture the natural warmth and relatable ups and downs of family life, where members may annoy each other but ultimately cannot do without one another.

Of course, there was a bit of uncertainty, as it was the first time I had to try acting and get into a role. But it was very interesting for me to see how the whole team works, how professional actors work. As soon as I arrived on set, I adapted very quickly, and that uncertainty disappeared on the first day. The biggest challenge was probably getting into the role and acting in a way that the emotions and situations look as natural as possible.
