Sin Bandera delivers a night of hits and nostalgia in Santo Domingo

A Sin Bandera concert in Santo Domingo turned into an engagement celebration when a couple used the romantic mood of “Dime que sí” to formalize their commitment. One partner presented a ring as the audience applauded and cheered.

Leonel García and Noel Schajris performed at the Olympic Center softball stadium before an enthusiastic crowd. The show opened with “De viaje,” after Schajris took his place at the piano and García stood at center stage.

The set included “Suelta mi mano,” “Dime que sí,” “ABC,” “Amor real,” “Y llegaste tú,” “Sirena,” “Kilómetros,” “Que lloro,” “Mientes tan bien” and “Te vi venir.” García played guitar through most of the night, while Schajris moved between piano and guitar. The two singers interacted with the audience throughout the performance.

The musicians also celebrated 27 years of their careers with the crowd. Schajris later left the stage to greet people in the stands, drawing more applause and smiles. The heat prompted him to remove his shirt twice, another moment the audience welcomed with cheers.

The concert lasted approximately two and a half hours. Its blend of familiar songs, romantic themes and direct contact with fans reinforced the long-standing connection between the Mexican-born musicians and their Dominican audience.
