On the ATP tour, Italy's Jannik Sinner has etched his name in history, becoming the first player ever to secure five consecutive Masters 1000 titles. This remarkable achievement propels him further ahead in the rankings, solidifying his dominance. His closest rival, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz, was absent due to injury, allowing Sinner to widen the gap. Meanwhile, German player Alexander Zverev, the Madrid finalist, has strengthened his third-place position, while Novak Djokovic sees his standing shift.

The WTA rankings also experienced notable movements. Poland's Iga Swiatek has ascended to third place, overtaking American Coco Gauff.
