SK Sugar Gliders Handball Team Holds Health Lecture for Seniors

The SK Sugar Gliders, champions of the Women's Handball H-League, hosted a specialized health lecture for senior citizens in Gwangmyeong, their home city, on June 23. The event, held at the Haan Senior Welfare Center, focused on strength and flexibility management for the elderly.

According to the team, the program is part of their annual post-season activities, which include fan meetings and community engagement initiatives in their home region. The lecture featured practical advice on stretching and health management, delivered by the team's fitness coach, who also serves as the national team's trainer. Players also participated, demonstrating exercises and sharing information with attendees.

Kim Jeong-eun, the director of the Haan Senior Welfare Center, described the event as beneficial, stating, "It was a valuable time for the seniors in the Haan area to learn practical health information and learn strength exercises and stretching methods necessary for their later lives."

The SK Sugar Gliders are recognized as the sole sports team participating in the Gwangmyeong City ESG Council, highlighting their commitment to social responsibility within the community.
