Slovenian bowler Urban Hiti has secured a bronze medal in the precision ball striking event at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto. The 22-year-old athlete faced a tense situation in the bronze medal match against Italy's Diego Verganti.

Hiti initially celebrated a 45:44 victory, but the Italian team lodged an appeal. Following the review, the result was changed to a draw, meaning both Hiti and Verganti were awarded the bronze medal. This outcome provided Hiti with a significant achievement in his burgeoning career.
