Social Workers to Review Miguel Hidalgo's 'Pa'las Jefas' Program

In a significant move to uphold transparency and fairness in social assistance, the administration of Miguel Hidalgo, led by Mayor Mauricio Tabe, has formalized a crucial partnership with the National School of Social Work (ENTS) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). This agreement, now in its fourth consecutive year, underscores a steadfast commitment to ensuring that social programs within the delegation are allocated equitably and reach their intended beneficiaries – those who genuinely require support.

Mayor Tabe emphasized that by entrusting specialists from ENTS with the critical tasks of conducting socioeconomic assessments, interviews, and home visits, the integrity of programs like "Pa'las Jefas" is significantly enhanced. This rigorous process guarantees that the 2,577 beneficiaries of the "Pa'las Jefas" program are indeed women facing the greatest marginalization. The objective is clear: to dismantle any possibility of social aid being exploited for political gain or used to reward political loyalty.
