Southern Hospital is being furnished for 16 million PLN, with an interior architect overseeing the concept

Warsaw's Southern Hospital is in the process of being furnished, with a significant contract valued at nearly 16 million Polish zloty. The scope of this order includes a diverse array of items, ranging from medical refrigerators and mirrors to household appliances, office furniture, and employee amenities like changing room furnishings.

Central to the design and material selection is an interior architect, who is responsible for the conceptual design from the hospital's perspective. The winning bidder of the tender will need to finalize color schemes, materials, and technical details, such as handles and hinges, in collaboration with this architect.

The project's design concept incorporates "color zones" intended to aid navigation within the medical facility. The tender documentation outlines specific requirements for various furniture pieces, including lounge sofas described as having a "cubist form" and resting chairs, specifying materials like upholstered fabric and metal legs.

This extensive furnishing effort follows a previous tender from last year, valued at 3.4 million PLN, which primarily covered items like medical trolleys, screens, and archive equipment. The hospital and the city of Warsaw have been asked for further details regarding the architect's involvement and remuneration in both contracts, with the hospital indicating a two-month timeframe to provide the information due to organizational constraints.
