Sportivo Luqueño is flirting with its fifth relegation from the Paraguayan football league following two heavy defeats while playing away from home. The team is currently unable to use its stadium, Feliciano Cáceres, due to ongoing renovations that are not scheduled for completion until 2027. This situation, coupled with cost-saving measures like foregoing pre-match concentration, has raised concerns about the team's performance and player well-being.

The club's last home match was a 3-2 loss to 2 de Mayo on September 12, 2024. Fans are questioning the prolonged delay in stadium renovations, especially compared to other clubs like Olimpia and Guaraní, which are building entirely new stadiums.
