Stransact to reward 100 varsity students nationwide

Stransact Chartered Accountants has launched the Stransact Honours Roll, an initiative designed to celebrate academic excellence among graduating students in Nigeria. The program will recognize 100 outstanding final-year students from 20 leading Nigerian universities, as identified by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026. Five exceptional students from each selected institution will be honored. Each of the 100 recipients will be awarded a cash prize of N100,000. They will also receive formal recognition as a Stransact Honours Roll awardee and gain automatic entry into the Stransact Talent Vault (STV), the firm's graduate development program. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world, equipping high-performing graduates with the skills and opportunities needed for successful careers. The 20 participating universities include prominent institutions such as Ahmadu Bello University, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, and Obafemi Awolowo University, among others. University administrators have lauded the Stransact Honours Roll, describing it as a timely intervention that not only rewards academic achievement but also strengthens the crucial link between universities and industry. They believe such recognition will foster healthy competition among students and contribute to developing the skilled workforce essential for national progress. Prof. Wahab Egbewole, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, praised the program as a commendable, merit-based initiative that will motivate students to strive for excellence and make meaningful contributions to society. He expressed pride in the University of Ilorin's inclusion among Nigeria's top 20 universities, emphasizing that the recognition will inspire the institution to maintain its high standards in teaching, research, innovation, and service. Egbewole urged Stransact to continue this initiative, highlighting that investment in education is an invaluable investment in humanity.
