Strengthening the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, UBSI-UNTAN Sign Cooperation Agreement

Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) and Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) have formalized a strategic partnership aimed at bolstering the quality of education and community empowerment across Indonesia. The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. This event took place during a series of Community Service Programs organized by the Association of Professors from LLDIKTI Region IV.

The agreement was officially inked by UBSI Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Mochamad Wahyudi, M.Kom, MM, M.Pd, IPU, ASEAN Eng, and UNTAN Rector Prof. Dr. H. Garuda Wiko, SH, M.Si. This collaboration establishes a foundational framework for joint initiatives in education, research, and community service. Key areas of focus include improving human resource capacity, refining institutional governance, and fostering innovation.

Both universities also launched the Professor Community Service Program, designed as a platform for academics to share their expertise and develop solutions for societal challenges. Prof. Wahyudi emphasized the critical role of inter-university collaboration in elevating national education standards. "We hope the synergy with UNTAN will not only be limited to signing cooperation documents but will be realized through various programs that benefit both institutions and the wider community," he stated on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Prof. Wahyudi further highlighted that this joint activity provides an excellent opportunity to expand academic networks and stimulate new innovations. He believes that current higher education challenges cannot be solved in isolation, necessitating strong collaboration among universities to broaden the impact of knowledge, research findings, and community service. Through this partnership, UBSI, known as a Creative Digital Campus, and UNTAN are committed to creating an adaptive and productive educational ecosystem, ensuring that academics contribute directly to regional and national development.
