'Süleymancılar' Leader's Family Owns 191 Properties in Turkey, Investigation Reveals

An investigation by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Alihan Kuriş, the leader of the 'Süleymancılar' religious community, has uncovered a substantial property portfolio belonging to his family. Official records indicate that the family members collectively own 191 real estate properties across two Turkish provinces.

According to a report by Sabah newspaper, a significant portion of this wealth is registered under the name of Alihan Kuriş's mother, Ayşe Gülderen Kuriş. She is listed as the owner of 138 properties, while the deceased father, Mahmut Sabri Kuriş, is associated with 26 properties, and Alihan Kuriş himself owns 14.

The identified properties include residences and land in Istanbul, such as a duplex residence and apartments in Erenköy, Kadıköy, a four-story apartment building on a 922-square-meter plot, and a wooden house on a 9,310-square-meter area in Altunizade, Üsküdar. Additionally, the family owns garden houses and land in Kısıklı.

In Sakarya province, the family's assets include a 21,432-square-meter plot of land with a wooden house in Serdivan, and a three-story office building and commercial property in Erenler. The investigation is continuing to examine the acquisition methods and financial sources of these numerous properties.
