Surveillance Aircraft: Makinde’ll replicate Oyo’s security model nationwide — APM

The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has declared its intention to replicate Oyo State's security strategy across Nigeria if its presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, is elected in 2027. The party pointed to the recent acquisition of two surveillance aircraft as a testament to Makinde's effective approach to tackling insecurity.

As Allied People’s Movement presidential flag bearer, Makinde will replicate his resourceful, robust, vibrant and compassionate leadership across the country, and redirect the ship of the nation from its perilous course to the path of progress, development and advancement, if elected into office as president in 2027.

According to the APM's National Chairman, Dr. Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, these aircraft are more than just security assets; they represent a governing philosophy that prioritizes the protection of lives and property. He asserted that this model, proven in Oyo State, can be deployed nationwide to combat persistent threats such as terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping.

Dantalle specifically praised Makinde for procuring two DA 42 MNG intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft. These planes, equipped with advanced technology capable of identifying targets from various altitudes, are seen as crucial for intelligence gathering and bolstering security operations. The APM chairman emphasized that these acquisitions demonstrate the Oyo State government's dedication to safeguarding its citizens.

The two DA 42 MNG model aircraft, which are for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations and equipped with sophisticated surveillance gadgets capable of identifying targets from both high and low altitudes, are a testament to the Oyo State government’s commitment to protect lives and property in the state.

The party further stated that the acquisition aligns with Nigeria's 1999 Constitution, which mandates that the security and welfare of the people are the primary responsibilities of government. Dantalle described Makinde's administration as visionary and inclusive, claiming its policies have transformed Oyo State. The APM urged Nigerians to support their candidates in the upcoming elections, promising to prioritize national security, unity, and prosperity.
