Suspected accomplice arrested in Berlin Pride festival attack

Authorities in Berlin have arrested an Iranian citizen suspected of being an accomplice in the fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred during the city's Pride festival on Saturday. The attack resulted in one death and left 16 people injured.

According to reports from German media outlets RBB and Focus, the arrested man was allegedly in the passenger seat of the vehicle driven by the main suspect, identified as Abdul B. Focus, citing sources close to the investigation, reported that the Iranian national was detained on Saturday as a "presumed accomplice."

The primary suspect, Abdul B., is reportedly a sympathizer of the Islamic State (ISIS) group and is known to authorities for his ties to Islamist circles.
