Suspects Named in Corruption Case Involving Former Indonesian Junior Attorney General

A corruption and money laundering case has ensnared Febrie Adriansyah, the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office, drawing significant attention for nearly two weeks. Police have identified two suspects, identified as DR and FA, in connection with three alleged corrupt practices.

These allegations stem from the handling of cases involving PT Asabri for the period 2020-2024, PT Krakatau Steel from 2023-2025, and the procurement of coal for several steam power plants (PLTU) by various companies. Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, head of the National Police's Anti-Corruption Crimes Directorate, announced the naming of the suspects during a press conference on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The investigation has since been handed over to the Attorney General's Office.

In the course of the investigation, a joint team of investigators from the Anti-Corruption Crimes Directorate and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police conducted searches at 13 locations between July 8-9, 2026. These sites included offices of PT CBS in Cengkareng and Penjaringan, PT Krakatau Niaga Indonesia in Central Jakarta, the DMG/CP group office in South Jakarta, and PT PML in South Jakarta. Other locations searched were de'Clan Signature cafe in South Jakarta, Koin Money Changer in South Jakarta, the residence of Tan Kian (a witness in the PT Asabri case) in South Jakarta, and Don Ritto's home in South Jakarta. The search also extended to MILDK's residence at Pacific Place Apartment, Febrie Adriansyah's home in Sentul, Bogor Regency, a house belonging to MN in South Tangerang, and a shop house in South Jakarta.

Notably, Febrie Adriansyah's residence on Jalan Radio I, Kramat Pela, South Jakarta, was reportedly guarded by more than a squad of Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers on Wednesday night, July 8, 2026. The soldiers, armed with long rifles, were seen guarding the main gate and patrolling the front garden. This occurred after the search of various locations related to the three cases. Eyewitnesses also reported seeing dozens of TNI members at the Polda Metro Jaya complex around 3:40 AM on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Sources within the National Police, confirmed by two high-ranking officials, indicated that several TNI high-ranking officers, including Brigadier General Wahyo Yuniartoto from the Intelligence Agency, were present at the Polda Metro Jaya.
