Swedish coach Tommy Samuelsson to lead Danish ice hockey team

The Danish men's ice hockey team has appointed Swedish coach Tommy Samuelsson as its new head coach, replacing Mikael Gath who departed in May. The Danish Ice Hockey Union announced the decision in a press release.

Morten Green, elite manager and general manager for the national team, expressed satisfaction with the appointment. Samuelsson, 66, most recently coached Timrå in Sweden's top league. He boasts 27 years of coaching experience at the top level across Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. He will officially start his new position on August 1.
