T1 Tram Line Faces 4-Day Service Halt Between Güngören and Bağcılar for Gas Infrastructure Work

Metro Istanbul has announced a temporary suspension of tram services on a section of the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tramway Line. The disruption, scheduled from Friday, July 17, at 06:00 to Monday, July 20, at 06:00, is necessary for natural gas infrastructure maintenance and repair work.

During the four-day period, tram operations will be limited to the route between Kabataş and Soğanlı stations. Consequently, there will be no tram service operating between the Güngören and Bağcılar stations.

To ensure passengers are not unduly inconvenienced, Metro Istanbul has arranged for free İETT bus services to operate between Güngören and Bağcılar. This measure aims to provide an alternative transportation solution for commuters affected by the tram line closure.

Metro Istanbul advises passengers to plan their alternative travel arrangements accordingly during the maintenance period. The work is essential for the upkeep of the city's natural gas infrastructure.
