Tabung Haji properties win awards for management and sustainability

Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), Malaysia's Hajj savings fund, has earned significant recognition for its property management efforts, securing two prestigious awards at The Edge Malaysia Best Managed & Sustainable Property Awards (BMSPA) 2026. The accolades were awarded to Menara TH Tun Razak and Menara Bank Islam, highlighting the institution's dedication to excellence in asset management.

TH Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussain stated that the awards reflect the organization's ongoing commitment to professional, innovative, and sustainable asset management practices. He emphasized that the BMSPA 2026 acknowledges TH's continuous efforts in managing and enhancing its real estate assets in line with best governance practices and a focus on long-term value creation.

Menara TH Tun Razak was honored as the winner in the Non-Strata Office Building category, while Menara Bank Islam received an award in the Single-Owned Office Building in a Mixed Strata Development category. "This success proves TH's commitment to managing assets professionally, with integrity, and sustainably, ensuring that the entrusted assets continue to generate value for over 9.8 million depositors," Abdul Rashid said.

He further noted that these awards underscore TH's capability in integrating mature asset management with modern technology, digitalization, and sustainability standards. Menara TH Tun Razak, designed by architect Hijjas Kasturi, has been a Kuala Lumpur landmark since 1985 and has undergone various improvements, including upgrades to facilities, the introduction of a cashless parking system, enhanced security, and plans for solar panel installation. Menara Bank Islam's management highlights proactive maintenance and the use of a computerized maintenance management system (i-MANS) to boost operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption by 6.6 percent.
