Tainan City boasts 11 honorees in 8th Top 100 Young Farmers selection

Tainan City celebrates the selection of 11 young farmers into the 8th "Top 100 Young Farmers" program, highlighting their achievements in agricultural technology, brand management, and sustainable development.

Among the honorees is Fu Qian-chun, a veterinarian who runs Gui Fang Ranch, the sole recipient from the animal husbandry sector. Her dedication to management, marketing, and agricultural education, including sharing dairy farming knowledge on social media and developing unique processed products, exemplifies the innovative spirit of young farmers.

Other notable awardees include Tseng Yao-bin, who leverages his master's degree and tech industry background to enhance rice quality with agricultural technology, and Chang Yue-teng, who cultivates mangoes on Nanhua's unique soil and diversifies into brown sugar production. Li Ming-yen of Madou focuses on high-quality pomelos through sustainable farming, while Chen Peng-yu of Xuejia promotes the grain industry with "Rui Xiang Agricultural Products," integrating smart farming technologies.

Chen Guan-lin, a former hotel chef, founded "Shan Liang Bu Er," a brand that combines catering with agricultural education, earning a gold award at the National Environmental Education Awards. The fisheries sector is represented by Tu Xin-yi, who modernized her family's fourth-generation aquaculture business, "He Mu Aquatic Products," successfully expanding into the Japanese market. Chen Shi-jie established the clam brand "Ge Xia HASHA," applying brand management experience from the luxury industry.

The Tainan City government emphasized that these young farmers are crucial drivers of agricultural transformation, injecting vitality and competitiveness into the sector. The government pledges continued support through training, market matchmaking, and brand marketing to further enhance their capabilities.
