Tainan Hotel Celebrates Mother's Day with Flamingo Flower Art Exhibition and Experiences

This Mother's Day, the Far Eastern Shangri-La, Tainan is offering a unique celebration centered around the vibrant local "flamingo flower" (anthurium), moving beyond traditional carnations. From now until May 25th, the hotel lobby transforms into a stunning display of these elegant blooms, showcasing their vivid colors and graceful forms.

This initiative, guided by the Agriculture and Food Agency and co-organized with the Taiwan Anthurium Industry Development Association, highlights Tainan's local agriculture and sustainable practices. Renowned floral designer Liao Wen-hao has curated the exhibition, themed "Blooming Locally," using Tainan-cultivated flamingos to symbolize love and blessings, creating an artistic space that blends local industry with aesthetic beauty.

Adding an interactive element, the hotel is hosting a "Flamingo Floral Arrangement Experience Class" on May 10th. Led by professional floral designers, guests can create their own arrangements, offering a meaningful and personalized way to honor mothers. This class is by reservation only, with limited spots available.

Furthermore, to enhance the festive spirit, mothers dining at the hotel's "Zui Yue Lou" on the 38th floor or the "Far Eastern Café" buffet on the 10th floor on May 9th and 10th will receive a complimentary flamingo, adding a touch of floral elegance to their celebratory meals.
