The Taipei City Animal Protection Office is offering a "Pet Academy" fall semester from September to November, partnering with seven community colleges to provide essential pet care education. The program aims to equip pet owners with accurate knowledge for raising their beloved animals.

The curriculum spans a range of topics, including canine and feline nutrition, daily feeding practices, and specialized care for senior pets. Veterinarians will lead sessions on managing common chronic diseases in older pets and providing psychological support, guiding owners through the different life stages of their animals. Nutritionists will also educate owners on selecting appropriate pet food and understanding dietary needs, helping them establish sound feeding habits and nutritional concepts for their dogs and cats.

Owners who complete more than 10 hours of certified training through the "Pet Academy" are eligible to participate in the "Pet Parent Back to School Day" event. The top 20 participants with the most accumulated hours will receive a 1,000 NT dollar gift certificate and a 500 NT dollar pet gift package. Additionally, participation in the annual "Animal Protection Month" series of events can also earn certified hours, encouraging owners to seize the opportunity to gain knowledge and win prizes.
