Taipei Prosecutors Office Appoints New Leaders for Key Roles

The Taipei District Prosecutors Office has announced a significant reshuffling of its leadership, appointing new heads to several key prosecutor roles. Guo Jin-chang, a prosecutor known for his work on the 'Raincoat Bandit' case, will assume the position of chief prosecutor.

Zeng Yang-ling, who previously led the investigation into the Taroko Express derailment, will now head the 'Loyalty Group,' a unit focused on combating corruption and major economic crimes. This group has a history of handling high-profile cases, including the San Chung case and the Taipei Dome project.

Other appointments include Zhou Fang-yi, who will lead the 'Love Group' focusing on corruption and economic crimes, and Lin Jun-ting, who will take charge of the 'Ji Group,' also dealing with corruption and major economic offenses. Lin previously played a key role in the prosecution of a case involving former Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je.

Lin Yan-jun, described as the "flower of the North District Prosecutors Office" for her role in a Ministry of Justice promotional program, will serve as deputy chief prosecutor and head of the 'Harmony Group.' She recently oversaw the investigation into the controversial Prince Group case.
