Taipei's Longshan Creative Base Marks 10 Years with Special Exhibition

Taipei's Longshan Creative Base is marking its 10th anniversary with a significant exhibition, "Longshan Made 10+ | Continuous Creation Site," celebrating a decade of fostering creativity and cultural engagement. The exhibition, which opened on August 1 and runs until August 30, is a collaborative effort involving 19 resident brands.

The accumulation of Longshan Creative Base over 10 years comes from the participation and support of creators, resident brands, the operating team, and citizens.

The exhibition aims to reflect on the base's journey over the past ten years, highlighting its role in supporting creators, revitalizing public spaces, and connecting with local culture. Through a combination of historical records and displays, the event traces the base's development and its impact on the Wanhua district.

Organized around three main themes, the exhibition includes a "Base Decade Record" section. This area uses historical photographs, a timeline, and introductory videos featuring local elders and cultural officials to illustrate the transformation of Wanhua and the underground market, alongside the base's growth. A second section focuses on "Creator Stories" and "Brand Achievement Displays," detailing the interwoven narratives of creators and the Wanhua neighborhood, showcasing their deep-rooted creative vitality.

The base has always believed that the core of a cultural space lies in creating exchange and nurturing creation, allowing more people to walk into Wanhua and understand the local area through culture.

Beyond static displays, the Longshan Creative Base is hosting a series of events throughout August, including special exhibitions, a "Fireworks Yukata Festival," and various interactive experiences. Visitors are invited to collect stamps from participating shops by visiting and checking in, with completed stamp cards eligible for redemption of exclusive 10th-anniversary commemorative gifts such as notebooks, tote bags, and fan badges. The initiative encourages active participation, allowing visitors to experience the base's continuously accumulating creative energy firsthand.
