Taiwanese singer Weng Kai-hsum is gearing up for his second concert at the Taipei Arena on August 8, named "One Five One Ten." To prepare, the singer, known for his late-night activities, is adjusting his sleep schedule. He now takes a "liver-nourishing nap" between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., then wakes up to work on social media posts and personally respond to ticketing inquiries, joking that anyone interacting with the "editor" during these hours is actually him.

The concert's timing on Father's Day holds special significance. Weng Kai-hsum plans to include the song "My Heart's Treasure," originally dedicated to his father who passed away in 2023. He had initially removed it, fearing he would break down on stage, but has now decided to reinstate it. Reflecting on his relationship with his late father, Weng Kai-hsum admitted to a rebellious phase. As the youngest of three siblings, he was the first to openly defy his father's wishes. When his father encouraged him to enter a singing competition, Weng Kai-hsum refused, believing it had no future. Looking ahead to his 40th birthday next September, Weng Kai-hsum is planning a significant new venture: launching a band under the persona of "Mr. Henry." This idea emerged after enjoyable collaborations with bands like Flesh Juicer, Ice Hockey, and Marz23. Initially considering an album featuring ten different bands, he was inspired to create his own group. The band's name, "Mr. Henry," will also be featured on merchandise for his concert.

Weng Kai-hsum envisions "Mr. Henry" with a distinct British-inspired style, performing Taiwanese jazz and light rock. He desires to wear suits and gentleman's hats on stage, and potentially sport longer hair and smoky eye makeup for rock performances. The decision to have an all-female band stems from a positive experience during the musical "Itsuki University, Queen of the Night Sakurako Mama," where he bonded well with his female vocalists and musicians.
