Takiyuddin Hassan questioned for four hours by RoS over Bersatu complaint

Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, Secretary-General of Perikatan Nasional (PN), revealed he was interrogated for approximately four hours by the Malaysian Registrar of Societies (RoS). The questioning stemmed from a complaint lodged by the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (Bersatu) concerning PN's decision not to invite Bersatu to a consultation meeting on July 16.

Takiyuddin explained that the decision not to invite Bersatu was a direct response to a public statement made by Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin on July 15. In that statement, Muhyiddin declared Bersatu's intention to use its own 'Bunga Raya' (hibiscus) logo, rather than the PN coalition logo, for the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election.

During the RoS questioning, Takiyuddin also provided explanations regarding Bersatu's alleged actions of speaking negatively about Pas and other coalition partners, despite their shared use of the PN logo. The RoS confirmed it had received a formal complaint from Bersatu, which included allegations of not being involved in the PN Supreme Council meeting on July 16 and concerns about its membership status within the coalition. The RoS is currently reviewing these complaints under the Societies Act 1966.
