TECO Penang New Factory Launched, Building Armored Busbar Production Capacity

TECO Electric & Machinery, a leading electromechanical manufacturer, has officially opened its new factory in Penang, Malaysia. This strategic expansion into Southeast Asia, particularly in Penang, a significant hub for electronics and manufacturing, marks a crucial step in strengthening TECO's global supply chain capabilities. The new facility is dedicated to producing high-quality power transmission systems, specifically armored busbars, which are increasingly vital for modern infrastructure.

This move is directly responsive to the escalating demand for power infrastructure fueled by the rapid growth of AI and cloud computing. Traditional cabling faces limitations in handling the high current capacities required by these advanced technologies. Busbar systems, with their modular design and rapid deployment advantages, offer a superior solution. TECO's investment of approximately NT$370 million in this facility, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 meters of busbars, positions the company to capitalize on this burgeoning market.
