Teenager seeking independence causes concern after running away from home

A 14-year-old girl, Dhia Zahraaxavieta Neelopher, who had been reported missing since August 2, has been found safe. Police in Ampang Jaya stated that the teenager's disappearance was motivated by a desire for independence.

According to Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Khairul Anuar Khalid, the missing person unit located Dhia Zahraaxavieta Neelopher at 11:15 AM in Permai Court. She reportedly told authorities that she wanted to be independent, which led her to leave home.

Media had previously reported the police's appeal for public assistance in finding the teenager, who failed to return home on August 2. Khairul Anuar had received a report regarding her disappearance around 8:34 PM the previous day. The family noticed Dhia Zahraaxavieta Neelopher was missing around 10 PM on August 2, after which their search efforts were unsuccessful, prompting them to file a police report.

Dhia Zahraaxavieta Neelopher was last seen wearing a blue shirt and gray pants. The police have confirmed her safe recovery.
