Temporary halt to train traffic in Lithuania's 'Golden Triangle' for drainage works

Train services in the "Golden Triangle" area will experience a temporary halt for 55 hours, from June 18 at 8:00 AM to June 20 at 3:00 PM. This interruption is necessary to facilitate a highly complex engineering phase for the surface water drainage network.

During this period, the railway territory will undergo significant infrastructure work, including the installation of drainage pipes that will reach up to 2.4 meters in diameter in some sections. This project is deemed crucial for the reliable drainage of the marshy terrain and is considered strategically important for the city's development.

While road traffic over the Tilžės Street railway crossing will remain unaffected, the suspension will impact certain passenger and freight train routes.
