Terminally Ill Mother Receives 'One Month in Jeju' Gift from Tourism Organization

In a heartwarming initiative, the Jeju Tourism Organization has provided a unique opportunity for a terminally ill mother, who had always dreamed of visiting Jeju Island but never had the chance, to spend a month with her family on the picturesque island. The family's story came to light when the son shared his mother's lifelong wish on the National Citizen's Grievance channel. He explained that due to financial hardships, his mother had never been able to fulfill her dream of visiting Jeju. With her health declining, he expressed a deep desire to gift her a final, joyful family trip to the island she longed to see.

Responding to this poignant request, the Jeju Tourism Organization arranged for the family to stay for a month, free of charge, in the Dongbaek Village. This village, recognized by the UN World Tourism Organization as one of the best tourism villages, offers a serene and culturally rich environment.
