Tesonet and INVL Fund to Acquire North Lyceum Schools and Kindergartens in Lithuania

The technology group "Tesonet" and the private equity fund "INVL Private Equity Fund II" have announced their joint acquisition of the "North Lyceum" network of schools and kindergartens in Lithuania. The companies, which decided earlier this year to invest together in the private education sector, will implement the project through a newly formed joint venture called "Kurianti karta" (Creating Generation).

This acquisition aims to further develop high-quality private education that meets contemporary needs within Lithuania. "North Lyceum," established over a decade ago, currently operates two schools, three kindergartens, and a complex for swimming and extracurricular activities in Vilnius. The network serves nearly a thousand students and preschoolers.

Eglė Eidimtaitė, investment manager at the "Tesonet" group, stated that ensuring the best conditions for education is crucial for achieving the highest quality. She emphasized that the investment is not just a business venture but a desire to directly contribute to an environment that fosters free, creative, and courageous youth, thereby improving and increasing the quality and accessibility of education.

Nerijus Drobavičius, partner at "INVL Private Equity Fund II," noted that examples from many successful countries show private investment enhances educational quality and creates value for both society and investors. He expressed the intention, alongside the "Tesonet" team, to create conditions for the school and kindergarten network to grow through investments in infrastructure and improved educational quality.

Eglė Sidorova, head of "North Lyceum," views the arrival of a new strategic partner as a significant recognition of the organization's journey and an opportunity for bolder future planning. The school and kindergarten in Didžioji Riešė are already operating in a modern facility, and the Vilnius center unit plans to relocate to new premises within a year. Sidorova highlighted that this partnership validates the established educational system, team, and community trust, providing a strong partner for consistent investment in educational quality, environment, and teacher development, while preserving the Lyceum's values and educational direction.
