Three arrested in Dakhla as police seize 5.5 kilograms of hashish and 750 drug pills

Moroccan police in Dakhla arrested three people and seized hashish, cocaine and hundreds of psychotropic pills in coordinated operations across the city.

The arrests took place in the Al-Bichat, Al-Massira and Al-Hassani neighborhoods. Police said the suspects, aged between 35 and 41, were caught in the act of possessing and trafficking drugs. One of them had a previous criminal record.

Searches of houses allegedly used by the suspects produced 64 slabs of hashish weighing about 5.5 kilograms, 750 Rivotril pills and 68 grams of cocaine. Officers also confiscated a motorcycle, a large knife, mobile phones and cash believed to have come from the alleged criminal activity.

The suspects have been placed in police custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor. Investigators are working to establish the alleged role of each person and identify any wider links to the activity.
