Three men arrested for hotel brawl in Johor Bahru; collectively have 25 prior criminal records

Police in Johor Bahru have arrested three local men following a public brawl captured in a viral video outside a hotel. The incident, which occurred Tuesday afternoon, was reportedly sparked by dissatisfaction among the individuals, who were allegedly intoxicated.

Authorities identified the suspects as men aged between 35 and 56. A background check revealed a significant criminal history, with the trio collectively possessing 25 previous records related to criminal offenses and drug-related activities. However, initial urine tests for the suspects were negative for drugs.

The initial investigation found that the incident occurred around 4 p.m. stemming from dissatisfaction and several individuals involved were in a drunken state.

The arrests were made at the scene of the altercation. The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting with weapons and Regulation 25(1)(n) of the National Registration Regulations 1990 for failing to produce identification. Police are actively searching for additional individuals believed to have been involved in the fight.
