Three women murdered in Sinaloa, Mexico, in separate incidents

Three women were murdered in the southern Sinaloa municipalities of Escuinapa and Mazatlán in separate incidents. In Escuinapa, municipal police were alerted to a woman found in a vacant lot on Aldama street in the Insurgentes neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim tied at the hands, with visible bruises and bullet wounds. She was not carrying any identification.

National Guard elements secured the scene. The woman was wearing a denim skirt and a gray blouse. This discovery followed a report to emergency lines about two women attacked in the Pradera Dorada Dos subdivision in Mazatlán. Emergency responders found both victims inside a home on Jabalíes street, where they determined neither showed signs of life and had visible signs of beatings and bullet impacts.

These killings occurred just three days after two other femicides were reported in Culiacán and Mazatlán. In Culiacán, a 25-year-old woman named Marisol “N” was shot and killed by unknown assailants on Aquiles Serdán avenue. Reports indicate two individuals on a motorcycle entered a corridor and shot her multiple times before fleeing.

In Mazatlán, residents in the Villa Unión area reported hearing repeated automatic gunfire on Constitución street. Responding officers found a woman, preliminarily identified as Casandra Guadalupe “N,” 36, lying on the ground with blood. Paramedics from Civil Protection confirmed she had no vital signs.
