Tinubu Appoints Ayodele Fayose, Junaid Bindawa as Chairmen of REA, NSIWC

President Bola Tinubu has initiated a significant reshuffling of leadership within Nigeria's federal government, announcing 26 new appointments across 10 key agencies and commissions. The appointments signal a move to strengthen the operational capacity and strategic direction of these governmental bodies.

Among the notable appointments, former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has been named the Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). Major General Junaid Bindawa, retired, will now chair the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission. The presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed these appointments, detailing the composition of the boards and the roles of newly appointed members and non-executive directors.

Further appointments include Dr. Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission, Dr. Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET), and Dr. Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as chairman/CEO of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission. The Fiscal Responsibility Commission also sees new leadership with Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu appointed as chairman. These appointments are effective immediately, reflecting the administration's focus on filling critical leadership roles across various sectors.
