Transjakarta Routes Rerouted Amid Overhead Bridge Demolition Traffic Chaos

Transjakarta bus routes 13B (Puri Beta-Pancoean) and L13E (Puri Beta-Flyover Kuningan), also known as 'Jalur Langit,' are experiencing temporary rerouting. The disruption is due to traffic congestion stemming from the demolition of an overhead pedestrian bridge (JPO) near Jalan Kapten Tendean in South Jakarta.

The JPO was severely damaged after being struck by a truck carrying heavy equipment. While the truck has been evacuated, the demolition process is ongoing, causing significant traffic jams across various parts of the city. Transjakarta has announced that buses heading towards Puri Beta will temporarily not serve the Tegal Mampang Halt. Additionally, the Koridor 13 route from Tegal Mampang to Ciledug has been shortened to Rawa Barat to Ciledug.

Traffic congestion is particularly severe on Jalan Sudirman and Jalan Thamrin, heading south from the north. Heavy traffic is also reported on Jalan HR Rasuna Said towards Jalan Warung Buncit, and at the SCBD exit leading to Jalan Suryo, all impacted by the JPO demolition and repair work. These conditions are persisting throughout the day.

Kompol Robby Hefados of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate noted that Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu is also congested due to high vehicle volume during the evening commute, stretching from the Pancoran intersection to Kalibata. Arterial roads heading east remain relatively smooth, with traffic flowing well on the toll road until Cawang and beyond towards Bekasi.
