Transjakarta to Close Routes 1N and 10D, Citing Optimization Reasons

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is set to cease operations on two of its routes, 1N (Tanah Abang-Blok M) and 10D (Tanjung Priok-Kampung Rambutan), effective July 1, 2026. This decision follows a routine management evaluation focused on optimizing service delivery and operational efficiency.

Welfizon Yuza, President Director of Transjakarta, stated that these service adjustments are part of regular assessments based on customer travel patterns and operational performance. The evaluation led to the decision to discontinue these specific routes after June 30, 2026.

We periodically evaluate every service based on customer travel patterns and operational performance.

The company plans to reallocate the 25 Transjakarta units previously serving these routes to support services on routes with higher passenger demand. This reallocation is expected to reduce waiting times on other lines without compromising overall mobility. Transjakarta assures that alternative travel options have been arranged to ensure passengers can still access their destinations comfortably.

For passengers who relied on route 1N, Transjakarta has provided alternative routes. To travel to Blok M from Tanah Abang, passengers can use route 9D, transfer at Plaza Sentral Bus Stop, and then take route 1P. For the return journey to Tanah Abang from Blok M, passengers should use route 1P, transfer at Benhil 3 Bus Stop, and then take route 9D. The public facilities along the affected routes, serving 68 points on route 10D and 47 points on route 1N, will remain accessible via these alternative services.
