Transnusa Launches Jakarta-Bangkok Flight Route

PT Transnusa Aviation Mandiri has introduced a new twice-daily flight service connecting Jakarta and Bangkok, commencing operations on August 6, 2026. The airline's CEO, Datuk Bernard Francis, expressed optimism that this route will enhance connectivity between Indonesia and Thailand and provide broader access to international flights through Bangkok.

"By offering two daily flights between Jakarta and Bangkok, we aim to provide greater flexibility to our customers while strengthening connectivity between Indonesia and Thailand," Francis stated in a press release. All flights will operate via Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok's primary international hub. To mark the launch, Transnusa is offering introductory one-way fares starting at Rp2,799,000, aiming to provide more travel options for tourists and business travelers.

Transnusa currently serves several international routes, including flights to Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Australia. The airline is targeting a 75 percent passenger occupancy rate for the new Jakarta-Bangkok route within its initial two months, with expectations to increase this to 80 percent as market demand grows. This new route is seen as a foundation for Transnusa's future international expansion, with plans for a direct Bali-Phuket flight scheduled for September 9, 2026.
