President Donald Trump has offered assistance to Nepal following catastrophic flash floods that ravaged the Rasuwa district. Washington has reportedly been in contact with Nepalese leadership and stands ready to provide support. The U.S. Department of State confirmed that approximately 90 Americans were unaccounted for in the flood-affected border regions of Nepal and China. While three Americans have been rescued, the number of fatalities among U.S. citizens remains unknown.

The State Department dispatched a disaster response advisor to the region along with $500,000 in aid on Wednesday.
