Trump says six arrested for vandalism at Reflecting Pool

President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that six individuals have been arrested and seven others summoned to court for alleged vandalism at the Reflecting Pool on Washington's National Mall. Trump described the damage as a "deliberate and criminal act," detailing extensive cuts along the pool's edge, apparently made with a sharp object, and a section of the pool's bottom being forcefully torn out.

The incident occurred just days after the Reflecting Pool was refilled following a spring renovation, which had initially resulted in green water due to an algae bloom. The pool is a key feature near the Lincoln Memorial and is among the projects Trump aims to complete for the upcoming July 4th celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.
