Trump tech official accuses China’s Moonshot AI of stealing from Anthropic

A former top technology official from the Trump administration has leveled serious accusations against the Chinese artificial intelligence startup Moonshot AI. Michael Kratsios, who served as the White House science and technology adviser, alleges that the Beijing-based company has been covertly extracting advanced capabilities from leading U.S. AI models.

Specifically, Kratsios claims that Moonshot AI targeted Anthropic's powerful Claude Fable 5 model through large-scale data acquisition. Furthermore, the company is accused of illegally obtaining restricted Nvidia chips from international sources to fuel its development. These allegations come shortly after Moonshot AI unveiled its own advanced model, Kimi K3.
