Tun Faisal's statements on PN no longer relevant – Tuan Ibrahim

Pas Deputy President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has declared that statements made by Bersatu Information Chief Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz concerning cooperation within Perikatan Nasional (PN) are no longer relevant. This comes after Pas decided to end its political partnership with Bersatu.

Tuan Ibrahim asserted that Tun Faisal's remarks do not reflect the current internal decisions of PN. He pointed out that Tun Faisal is not among the key decision-makers within the coalition. "He is not a member of the meeting. Discussions are different from decisions," Tuan Ibrahim told Utusan Malaysia. He added, "Actually, the statement is no longer valid and Pas has made a decision to stop cooperation. It would be better for him, as Information Chief, to focus on strengthening Bersatu rather than attacking Pas."

The Pas leader further emphasized that any statements referencing old PN decisions should not be used to represent the party's current position, given the evolving political landscape. Pas is now focusing on its new political direction following the decision to sever ties with Bersatu.

Previously, Tun Faisal had stated that Bersatu had never prevented any party from joining PN, countering Tuan Ibrahim's claims. He argued that Tuan Ibrahim, as PN Deputy Chairman, should understand why the PN Supreme Council agreed to an electoral pact. Tun Faisal also alleged that Pas leaders in a previous PN Supreme Council meeting were unwilling to allocate seats to Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) in the SG4 states.
