Tunisia launches 'Champions of Knowledge' championship blending reading and AI

Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, is set to host a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing learning for young students: the first "Champions of Knowledge" championship. This pioneering event, a collaboration between the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Sciences (ALECSO) and the Mediterranean Society for Childhood, seeks to redefine the educational landscape by merging traditional reading with cutting-edge artificial intelligence.

Basma Ben Haj Ali, the director of this inaugural session and an educator herself, highlighted the competition's ambitious scope in an interview with National Radio. She emphasized that "Champions of Knowledge" transcends a typical school contest. Its core mission is to deeply embed a culture of reading and book appreciation among youth, while simultaneously leveraging AI tools to significantly amplify children's cognitive capacities. This intellectual joust involves six primary schools from the Greater Tunis region, engaging students from the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.
