Tunisia to Launch AI Platform for Diaspora in 2026

The Office of Tunisians Abroad (OTE) is set to launch a significant digital initiative, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed specifically for the Tunisian diaspora. Scheduled for release in 2026, this platform represents a forward-thinking approach to engaging with Tunisians living outside their homeland, aiming to bridge geographical distances and facilitate their connection with Tunisia.

This new platform will serve as a crucial resource, offering Tunisians worldwide rapid access to vital information regarding investment opportunities in Tunisia. It will also provide clear answers about administrative procedures, available support mechanisms, and other relevant updates. The OTE's commitment to digital transformation is evident in its efforts to modernize its website into an integrated portal, streamlining access to services and information for both the diaspora and potential investors. This move directly addresses the expressed needs of the Tunisian community abroad, seeking to enhance their trust in Tunisian administration through simplified processes and improved service quality.

Cette démarche répond aux attentes exprimées par la communauté tunisienne à l’étranger et vise à renforcer la confiance dans l’administration tunisienne à travers la simplification des procédures et l’amélioration de la qualité des services liés à l’investissement.

Helmi Tlili, head of the OTE, highlighted the office's evolving role as a "single point of contact" to manage diaspora requests, coordinate with relevant administrations, and expedite bureaucratic processes. Furthermore, the OTE is establishing an "investor space" at its headquarters and a dedicated support area for social assistance related to migration challenges. These efforts, including a "return strategy" conference planned for July in Bizerte and continued support for travel tickets, are integral to Tunisia's national strategy to boost financial transfers, investments, and the exchange of skills and expertise, ultimately benefiting the country's development.
