Tunisian Defense Minister presides over Staff College graduation

Tunisia's Minister of National Defense, Khaled Sehili, led the graduation ceremony for the 48th class of the Staff College at the Bortal Hayder military base. The event marked a significant milestone for the graduating officers, underscoring the institution's role in military development.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of attendees, including members of the Superior Council of the Armed Forces, ambassadors and military attachés accredited to Tunisia, and other high-ranking military and civilian officials from the Ministry of Defense. Their presence highlighted the importance placed on the Staff College's contributions to national security.

In his address, Minister Sehili stressed that the training provided by the Staff College is a crucial step in an officer's career. He explained that it bridges the gap between tactical execution and strategic planning, decision-making, and management. The minister called for continuous development of the educational programs to align with the evolving realities and needs of the military institution.

Sehili also highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance the college's digital infrastructure and improve the quality of education through modern pedagogical approaches. These advancements aim to keep pace with scientific and technological progress, particularly in the fields of digital technology and artificial intelligence. The minister also celebrated the Staff College's recent achievement of obtaining the ISO 21001:2025 certification, recognizing its commitment to educational management standards. Following the ceremony, Minister Sehili presented diplomas to the graduates and reviewed a selection of their research projects.
