Two Arrested in Changwon for Methamphetamine Use

Authorities in Jinhae, Changwon, have apprehended two individuals on suspicion of methamphetamine use, highlighting the persistent issue of drug abuse in the region. The arrests were made following a tip-off concerning suspected drug activity in a local one-room apartment.

The suspects, identified as a man in his 40s (A) and a woman in her 20s (B), reportedly met through a random chat application. According to police reports, they are alleged to have used methamphetamine together on March 23rd in a residence located in Jinhae-gu.

Upon receiving the tip, police responded to the scene. A preliminary drug test on the woman yielded a positive result for narcotics. Based on her subsequent statements, police were able to track down and arrest the male suspect.

The investigation is ongoing, with the man being taken into custody pending further inquiry, while the woman has been transferred to the prosecution's office without detention. This incident underscores the challenges faced by law enforcement in combating the spread of illegal drugs and the need for continued vigilance within the community.
